Strength Gathers Between the Lifts

I spent 18 minutes on the Elliptical Cross Trainer at Resistance Level 2 and Incline Level 2 before moving through mobility, core control, and calf work. Nothing about the session needed to be complicated. Its purpose was to keep me moving, reinforce good positions, and leave me prepared for tomorrow’s deadlift work.

A recovery day in strongman is a lower-intensity session placed between more demanding training days. It does not replace the work under the bar. It helps make returning to that work possible.

After the elliptical, I moved through Cat Cow and the Quadruped Rock Back before completing two sets of Dead Bugs. Wall Calf Stretches and Knee-Bent Wall Calf Stretches finished the movement work, followed by 20 minutes in the massage chair.

Not every useful session needs plates rattling across the floor.

This was the quieter side of the larger build: maintaining consistency, preparing for the next heavy session, and continuing the long progression from Novice toward Open strongman. Tomorrow, the work returns to the deadlift platform. Today, I made sure I would be ready to meet it.

Discipline. Power. Rise.
